RULES & REGULATIONS:

Section A: General

1. A team comprises of:

3 Advanced players [Men or Women], 3 Women[A must], 2 Intermediate [Men], A Pair

of players with a combined age of 75+[Calculation will be taken from 26th March

2022].

So basically it's a 10 member Squad. Each member will get a maximum of 1 match

each against another team. So a total of 5 matches against a team.


RULES & REGULATIONS:

Section A: General

1. A team comprises of:

3 Advanced players [Men or Women], 3 Women[A must], 2 Intermediate [Men], A Pair

of players with a combined age of 75+[Calculation will be taken from 26th March

2022].

So basically it's a 10 member Squad. Each member will get a maximum of 1 match

each against another team. So a total of 5 matches against a team.

2. Only 24 teams are allowed. Early birds will be given preference and no slot

holding.

3. Time punctuality is a must. 7:30 am is the reporting time. Any team who is not on

the said starting time will have a great disadvantage.

i.e, All matches will start at 8:00 am at all courts after the photoshoot.

List of possible disadvantages:

a) No toss will be given to the team who arrives after 8:30, the other team will get an

added advantage of service and court choice for the first matches.

b) Any team who arrives after 10:00 am will be disqualified immediately without any

questions asked.

4. All matches will be for 21 Golden points. i.e, No deuce, a race to 21 points.

5. Nylon Shuttlecocks will be used.

No slowing down of shuttles.

An appeal of change of shuttle can be made but if the referee objects, play must

continue with the given shuttle.

6. Round 1: League

Round 2: Pre-Quarter Finals

Round 3: Quarterfinals

Round 4: Semifinals

Round 5: Finals

7. Terminologies Used:

A Point: Normal badminton definition of a point

A game : 21 points

A Star: winning maximum games against a team after 5 matches

8. Allocation of groups will be done by lucky draws. 24 teams in 6 groups. So each

group will have 4 teams. Top 2 in each group will qualify. Top 4 best losing teams will

enter pre-quarters based on the number of games and stars won.

0. Order of play:

Match 1: Mixed Doubles [Advanced Doubles 3 & Women 3]

Match 2: Women's Doubles [Women 1 & Women 2]

Match 3: Intermediate Doubles [Intermediate 1 & Intermediate 2]

Match 4: 75+ Doubles

Match 5: Advanced Doubles [Advanced 1 & Advanced 2]

This will be followed for the whole tournament, Unless an unavoidable injury occurs.

The hosts will take the final call based on situation and availability of players

10. Substitution is not allowed. Injured players are given time to recover under

referees and hosts permission.

10. No fighting or argument with any referee or players of the opposite team.

Referees can disqualify a team based on disciplinary actions. Referee's decision will be

the final decision on any and every call. Even line judgment will be done by the main

referees. All are expected to play with utmost sportsmanship.

Section B: Intermediate

1. All 72 intermediates who are participating will be watched by the Jurors and hosts

in the league stages. Only captains can object or complain to the hosts.

2. Even if any player is judged of being Advanced by the Jurors but playing in

intermediate category an immediate Red card will be given.

3. Red card means that the intermediates of that team playing the category will be

terminated but the team can still participate with a walkover given in every

intermediate doubles match to the other participating team.

4. The Jurors will be strict,once a Red card is given it can never be taken back.

5. The Jurors will be discreet about the reasons why the Red card is given and not

subjected to explain to anyone.

6. No change of intermediates are also allowed after a Red card is given. A team must

be fair in the Intermediate Doubles choosing.

7. Jurors will not take into account the age or gender. Only games matter.

Section C: List of accolades.

1. Every team shall receive a placard with their names.

2. Winners of the tournament will receive 25,000 rupees

3. 1st Runners up will receive 12,500 rupees

4. 2nd Runners up will receive 6,500 rupees

5. 3rd Runners up will receive certificates and goodies.

6. All Teams after Quarterfinals will receive cert
