Conquerors Smash Badminton Tournament- Rules And Regulations
General Rules:
1. The tournament format is knockout (single elimination)—players/teams will be eliminated after losing a match.
2. Matches will be played in singles and doubles categories (Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed).
3. Players must report 30 minutes before their scheduled match.
4. A walkover will be given if a player/team fails to report within 15 minutes of the scheduled match time.
Match Format:
1. All the matches(except Semis and finals) will be played for 21 Points of single set.
2. If the score reaches 20-20, the game continues until a 2-point lead is achieved, up to a maximum of 30 points
3. The semis and the finals will be played best of three games(set) of 21 points each.
Serving & Scoring:
1. The winner of the toss chooses to serve or receive first.
2. In singles, players serve from the right court when the score is even and the left court when the score is odd.
3. In doubles, each team gets one serve per rally, and service rotates among players.
4. If a serve is out, the opponent gains a point and the next serve.
Player Conduct & Fair Play:
1. Players must wear appropriate sports attire (non-marking shoes are mandatory).
2. Players must maintain sportsmanship—any form of abuse, misconduct, or cheating will result in immediate disqualification.
3. Players must not argue with referees/officials—all referee decisions are final.
Equipment & Court:
1. Only Yonex Mavis 350 Nylon shuttlecock will be used.
2. Players may use their own rackets.
3. The tournament will be played on standard badminton courts(Pro Sports Kothannur).
Disqualification & Walkover Rules:
1. If a player is found violating the rules, engaging in misconduct, or using unauthorized equipment, they may be disqualified.
2. If a player is injured and cannot continue the match, the opponent automatically wins.
Prizes & Awards:
1. Prizes will be awarded to the Winner, Runner-up, and Semi-finalists.
Miscellaneous Rules:
1. In case of unforeseen circumstances (weather, power outage, etc.), the tournament committee will decide the next course of action.
2. The organizers reserve the right to modify the rules if necessary.
