Rules & Regulations

1. Players Registration Fee - Each player must pay one-time registration fee of ₹1000 & full amount will be refunded to the unsold players.
2. Eligibility for Bidding - Only players who have completed registration before 9th July are eligible for the bidding process.
3. Match Fixing - Match fixing is strictly prohibited. Any team or player found guilty will be disqualified from the league.
4. Dispute Resolution - Only the franchise owner may discuss disputes with the chief referee and the organizers regarding referee decisions.
5. League Format - The league will follow a round-robin format during the league stages, with knockout rounds in the semi-finals and finals.
6. Group Structure - The 08 teams will be divided into two groups of 4 teams each. Group composition will be determined by a draw of lots or wheel Spin after the auction.
7. Match Participation - No player may participate in more than 2 matches.
8. Category Restrictions - In the Open Men’s Doubles category, a player may not participate in the same category more than once.
9. Open Category Participation - Players registered for the Open category will play in their respective categories along with Men’s Triplets.
10. Replacement Requests - Teams may request a replacement for a player who withdraws due to injury, illness, or other valid reasons. Requests must be made a day before the league starts.
11. Approval Process - The organizers has the right to approve or reject replacement requests.
12. Notification - The team must inform the League organizers about the withdrawing player.
13. Replacement Selection - Teams may select a replacement player from the reserve or unsold players
14. Triplets- For triples (3 vs 3) , only one player from one category is allowed to play. Eg: 1 player from MD1, 1 player from MD2 and 1 player from 30+/35+/40+ must play.
15. Yonex Mavis 350 shuttles will be used and all the matches will play for 30 points.
16. Each Player will get 2 t-shirts for SBPL tournament.
17. The entry fee for unsold players will be refunded after the tournament ends.
18. We are retaining the unsold players as backups in case of injuries to selected players. Team owners must pick replacements from the unsold player pool if needed.
19. Age proof is mandatory for 30+ & 40+ category.
20. Breakfast, Lunch & Snacks on us
