RULES & REGULATIONS

Champions of Tomorrow – The Academy Olympics 2026

(Designed to ensure fair competition, player development & academy excellence)

1️⃣ PLAYER ELIGIBILITY & FAIR PLAY

• The tournament is exclusively for emerging grassroots players.
• The top 50 State‑Ranked players are NOT eligible to participate.
• Rankings will be verified using the latest available state ranking list.
• Any false declaration will result in immediate disqualification.

2️⃣ MANDATORY ACADEMY REPRESENTATION

• Every player must represent a registered badminton academy.
• Individual/independent entries are not permitted.
• This tournament follows an Academy vs Academy format, promoting team strength and structured coaching.

3️⃣ AGE CATEGORIES & CUT‑OFF (BWF NORMS)

Age is calculated as on 31st December 2026.

• U9 Boys & Girls – Born on or after 01 Jan 2017
• U11 Boys & Girls – Born on or after 01 Jan 2015
• U13 Boys & Girls – Born on or after 01 Jan 2013
• U15 Boys & Girls – Born on or after 01 Jan 2011

📌 Valid Date of Birth proof is mandatory and may be verified at any stage.

4️⃣ MATCH FORMAT

• Matches will be played on a knockout basis.
• One game of 30 points (rally scoring system).
• All matches will follow BWF rules unless specified otherwise.
• Semi & Finals 21 Best of 3 sets

5️⃣ SHUTTLES & EQUIPMENT

• Feather shuttles will be used.
• The organisers will provide tournament shuttles.
• Equipment Sponsor: HUNDRED

6️⃣ DOUBLES CATEGORY

• A minimum of 8 entries is required to conduct any doubles category.
• If minimum entries are not met, the category may be cancelled.

7️⃣ AI VIDEO ANALYSIS INITIATIVE

• Selected matches may be recorded for AI‑based video analysis.
• This initiative is aimed at introducing players and academies to the future of performance analysis and data‑driven training.
• Participation implies consent for match recording.

8️⃣ PRIZES & ACADEMY RECOGNITION

• Winners will receive exclusive goodies from HUNDRED.
• The Highest Medal‑Winning Academy will be awarded the

🏆 Rolling Trophy + Cash Prize.

Emphasis is on academy depth, consistency, and player development.

9️⃣ REPORTING & WALKOVER

• Players must report 30 minutes before their scheduled match.
• 10 minute grace period will be allowed.
• Failure to report on time will result in a walkover.

🔟 DISCIPLINE & DECISIONS

• Players, coaches, and parents must maintain proper discipline.
• Misconduct or unsporting behaviour may lead to disqualification.
• Decisions of umpires and referees are final and binding.

• Verify age, ranking, and eligibility
• Modify schedules or categories if required
• Take final decisions in unforeseen situations
