All Women’s Badminton Tournament – Play 4 Pink

(Spreading Awareness on Breast Cancer)

An initiative by Pi Health Cancer Hospital

1. Eligibility

• Open only for women, aged 18 years and above (valid age proof required).
• Mandatory pre-registration before the deadline; no spot entries allowed.

2. Tournament Format

• Matches follow BWF (Badminton World Federation) rules with minor organizer modifications.
• Categories: Women’s Singles & Doubles (based on entries).
• Knockout Format: 21 points; Semi-Finals & Finals: Best of 3 sets (11 points each).
• In case of group stages, top players/teams from each pool advance to knockouts.
• Fixtures shared 48 hrs prior via WhatsApp/email.
• Play for Pink Kit to be collected on 23rd Oct from Pi Health Hospital, Gachibowli.

3. Venue, Dress Code & Equipment

• Players must report 30 mins before scheduled match time.
• All players should wear Play for Pink jerseys (provided by Pi Health Cancer Hospital).
• Non-marking shoes are mandatory.
• Players must bring their own badminton kit.
• Mention correct jersey size (S–XXL) during registration for a perfect fit.

4. Code of Conduct

• Show respect to referees, volunteers, and fellow participants.
• Abusive language, misconduct, or unsportsmanlike behaviour leads to disqualification.
• Smoking, alcohol, or intoxicants are strictly prohibited at the venue.

5. Registration & Fees

• Registration must be completed online along with the entry fee.
• Fees collected will be partly/fully donated to Breast Cancer Awareness after event costs.
• Entry fee is non-refundable & non-transferable.

6. Critical Points

• Medical Fitness: Players must be physically fit. Organizers are not responsible for injuries; first aid will be available.
• Liability Waiver: Registration implies consent that organisers are not liable for injuries, losses, or unforeseen incidents.
• Decisions: Referee/organiser decisions are final & binding.
• Walkovers: Late arrivals forfeit the match; no refund for no-shows.
• Registrations are non-transferable.
• Media Consent: Photos/videos may be used for event promotions and awareness campaigns.

7. Awards & Recognition

• Trophies, medals & cash prizes for winners & runners-up.
• Certificates & goodies for all participants.
• Special titles: “Fair Play Player” and “Spirit of the Tournament.”

8. Refreshments

• Water & refreshments will be provided only to players during their matches.

9. Awareness Program

• A short Breast Cancer Awareness Talk on prevention & early detection will be conducted by Pi Health Cancer Hospital during the event.
• All participants and spectators are encouraged to attend & spread the message.
