KTBL 2023 RULES

 1. Each team plays 1 singles and 3 doubles match, all of which consists of 15 points.

2. Therewillbeatotalof8teams,whichwillbedividedinto2groups–GroupAand Group B

3. Theplayer/pairwinningarallyaddsapointtoitsscore.

4. At14-all,theplayer/pairwhichfirstgainsa2-pointleadwinsthatgame.

5. Beforestartofeachgame,player/pairwilldoatossforsideorserve.

6. Apointisscoredwhentheshuttlecocklandsinsidetheopponent'scourtorifa returned shuttlecock hits the net or lands outside of the court the player will lose the point.

7. Atthestartoftherally,theserverandreceiverstandindiagonallyopposite service courts.

8. Alegalservemustbehitdiagonallyoverthenetandacrossthecourt.

9. Abadmintonservemustbehitunderarmandbelowtheserver'swaistheight. The shuttle when it is hit by the server, the racquet shaft should be pointing downwards. The shuttlecock is not allowed to bounce. After a point is won, the players will move to the opposite serving stations for the next point.

10. During a point a player can return the shuttlecock from inside and outside of the court.

11. A player is not able to touch the net with any part of their body or racket.

12. A player must not deliberately distract their opponent.

13. A player is not able to hit the shuttlecock twice.

14. A 'let' may be called by the referee if an unforeseen or accidental issue arises.

15. Should the shuttle hit the tree in the vicinity of the court, it will be considered ‘Out’.

16. Racket clashes between partners are allowed as long as the shuttle touches only one of the rackets.

17. During service if the shuttle touches the net, it will be allowed and not considered an ‘Out’.
