Go for Gold at the Thursday Night Social! 

SMPS PRC, SMPS Seattle, and OpenAsset invite you to an evening of play and connection in the heart of the Emerald City. 

Seattle, well-known for its multi-facets—from Microsoft to microbrews, grunge music to green scenery, the Spheres to the Space Needle, and now, from pickleball to ping pong! Let’s socialize and showcase our paddle skills at SPIN Seattle, where there’s something for everyone… even those who are more sippers than spinners. This event requires separate registration and is open to both conference and non-conference attendees.

The Vibe 

Try your hand on one of the multiple ping pong tables or, if you’re feeling competitive, join a limited-seating tournament. Don’t “sit this one out” - even if ping pong isn’t your game, there’s plenty to enjoy! Admire the highly Instagrammable 10,000 SF local art-filled space, sit and play oversized card and tabletop games, sip and snack with new friends, strike a pose in the photo booth with long-time friends, and groove to the beats of a live DJ.

Please note: The venue is downstairs with access by elevator or stairs. 

The Victuals 

Enjoy hearty appetizers, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options, along with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to keep you at your peak performance. With a chef-driven menu and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, you’ll be fueled up to land that backhand shot you’ve been working on. 

The Dress Code 

Keep it cool, keep it cute, keep it casual. Maybe you’ve been waiting to debut your new Zendaya-inspired tennis outfit, have a luxe go-to athleisure set, or want to go all out with sweat bands and shorts - dress for the occasion in whatever makes you feel like first place!

This year, we've partnered with the local chapter, SMPS Seattle, and OpenAsset, to make this venue possible. During the event, mingle with local chapter members to learn about restaurants to try or sights to see while you're in town, and don't miss OpenAsset on the court to see what they’re serving up! 

The Commute 

Located in the heart of downtown, SPIN Seattle is 0.3 miles, or a 6-minute walk, from the Hyatt Regency Hotel. For the walk, comfortable footwear and possibly a raincoat (welcome to Seattle!) are highly recommended. If you need special accommodations to get there, please contact us at info@smps-prc.org.
