Disclaimer 1: Open to all level of players. Anyone interested can register to play. Do not expect the games to be so professional for e.g. Kids would be playing and shouting around the courts; Families will have get together; some of the players will do umpiring in their non playing games; etc. However, we will have the Decorum and General Rules of the games maintained under all our controls. All players are advised to be considering this disclaimer before registration. ETS organizers reserve all rights.
Disclaimer 2:
- Teams formats/timings can't be changed.
- Referees decision will be final.
- Teams from each category have to notify their arrival at the Registration Desk, as per the timing mentioned in the PDF.
- Any teams not available at their specified game timing won't be allowed to play and points will be given to the opponent team.
Mavis 600 Synthetic shuttlecock will be used throughout the tournament.

General Rules
- Participating teams in the fixture will have to register prior to start of the matches confirming their registration details
- Team failing to report to the tournament venue in time & failing to register will be declared forfeiting the match & their opponent team will be declared winners
- All players will have to bring their own racquet for the tournament.
- FYI: Shuttlecock would be provided by the tournament organizers
- All the matches will be doubles match i.e., no singles match in the fixtures of this tournament
- Team winning a rally adds a point to its score
- For a 21 game, at 20-all, the team which first gains a 2-point lead wins that game. At 29-all, the side scoring the 30th point wins that game
- For a 15 game, at 14-all, the team which first gains a 2-point lead wins that game. At 19-all, the side scoring the 20th point wins that game
- Team winning a game serves first in the next game i.e., only applicable for a best of 3 games match
- A point is scored when the shuttlecock lands inside the opponent team's court or if a returned shuttlecock hits the net or lands outside of the court the team will lose the point
- At the start of the rally, the server and receiver stand in diagonally opposite service courts
- A legal serve must be hit diagonally over the net and across the court
- A badminton serve must be hit underarm and below the server's waist height with the racquet shaft pointing downwards, the shuttlecock is not allowed to bounce. After a point is won, the players will move to the opposite serving stations for the next point
- The rules do not allow second serves
- It is a valid serve even if the shuttlecock touches the net & lands in the opponent’s service court
- During a point a player can return the shuttlecock from inside and outside of the court
- A player is not able to touch the net with any part of their body or racquet
- A player must not deliberately distract their opponent
- A player is not able to hit the shuttlecock twice
- A 'let' may be called by the referee if an unforeseen or accidental issue arises
- For best of 3 game matches, two rest periods. These are a 2-minute rest after the first game and the second game
Qualifier Round Rules
- Teams for the qualifier round will be chosen randomly on the day of the tournament by the tournament organizers
- Qualifier round matches will be decided based on number of entries; time available; Organizers will decide. However, we aim to provide minimum 3 matches for each team.
